Spanish - KS4
GCSE students at SJB study Spanish to become citizens of the world, equipped with transferable and communication skills, as well as an open-mindedness to other cultures.
Studying Spanish at GCSE provides significant cognitive, academic and personal benefits, including enhanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, improved cultural understanding and increased future career and travel opportunities.

Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE Spanish
- Qualification: GCSE from 2024
- Exam Board: Edexcel
- Exam Assessment: 4 papers worth 25% each - Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing
- Tiers - Foundation (Grades 1-5) and Higher (Grades 4-9)

Students will either sit Foundation (grades 1-5) or Higher tier (grades 4-9) and all exams are at the end of the course.
