School Achieves Gold AI Quality Mark

We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the Good Future Foundation Gold AI Quality Mark, recognising our commitment to the high quality, safe and purposeful use of artificial intelligence in education.

This nationally recognised award reflects the thoughtful and strategic way in which AI is being developed across our school. It highlights our investment in staff training, curriculum design and strong governance to ensure that AI is used ethically, responsibly and in ways that genuinely enhance teaching and learning.

Over the past year, staff have worked collaboratively to build their confidence and expertise in using AI tools, while developing ways of embedding opportunities for students to develop AI literacy across the curriculum. This approach supports students to understand how AI works, how to use it effectively, and how to think critically about its impact on society.

Students have spoken positively about the impact this has had on their learning. One student commented:

“It’s useful to understand how AI works because we know it will be part of our future. It makes learning feel more relevant to the real world.”

Commenting on the achievement, the Digital Strategy Lead said:

“Achieving the Gold AI Quality Mark recognises the hard work and commitment of our staff in embracing AI in a thoughtful and responsible way. Our focus has always been on utilising technology to support learning; this started with the introduction of the iPads back in 2013 and is continually evolving. We are working to develop staff and student AI fluency, and ensure AI is embedded meaningfully within the curriculum so that our students are well prepared for life beyond the classroom.”

The accreditation process itself was highly supportive and developmental, providing valuable external validation alongside expert feedback to help shape our next steps. Achieving the Gold award places us at the forefront of innovation in education and reinforces our commitment to preparing students for a rapidly evolving digital world.

We are extremely proud of the dedication shown by our staff and students and look forward to continuing to develop our AI strategy in ways that benefit our whole school community.
